Welcome to Two Hands 0.1 (Alpha version)
This site opens a space for developing ways of productively and fairly linking the craft skills and traditions of artisans with the networks and systems of designers.
It will profile some of the very important work being done by governments, NGOs, businesses and committed individuals to promote traditional craft through product development.
There are many issues raised whenever people of rich and poor countries attempt to collaborate. Two Hands does not shy from these. Honest understanding is critical for such relationships to succeed over time. And these craft conversations have much to say about other levels of North-South dialogue, such as the Kyoto Protocol.
At this formative stage, Two Hands welcomes those interested to share the journey.
